Slaughtering of Qurbani (Animal Sacrifice).
The Sadaqah Qurbani is a voluntary animal sacrifice performed by Muslims with the intention of gaining closeness, blessings, and rewards from Allah. After the animal is slaughtered, the meat is distributed among the poor and needy. Unlike the obligatory Qurbani, the Sadaqah Qurbani can be performed at any time of the year and regardless of a person’s circumstances.
The Sadaqah Qurbani can also be performed on behalf of others, such as close relatives, with the intention that the meat of the sacrifice is given as charity for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.

Make a sacrifice (qurban) and give charity (sadaqah).
A voluntary animal sacrifice offered as Sadaqah to seek closeness, blessings, and rewards from Allah.
Sadaqah sacrifice can provide vulnerable families with nourishing food and allow them to share a meal together. For many, this may be one of the only times they have the opportunity to eat meat all year. By helping and pleasing Allah’s creations, we gain blessings and immense rewards in this life and the hereafter.
